Homemaker

Council on Aging is taking applications to provide Homemaking services to clients 60 and older. Homemaker services provide assistance with instrumental activities of daily living such as light cleaning, shopping, preparing light meals, scheduling transportation.

This is a part-time permanent position that includes mileage reimbursement, vacation and a Health Reimbursement Account stipend.

Flexible schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday, choose your own hours.

 

Senior Resource Assistant

Performs varied professional tasks designed to educate and assist seniors and persons with disabilities with resources to meet their needs in community-based programs. These activities include researching, identifying and providing information about human services, maintaining electronic and manual resource files, assisting with accessing services available in the community. Knowledge of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid programs preferred.

The work is performed in a team environment, mainly in office, but may include visiting clients in their homes. Employee confers with Program manager, other Information & Assistance staff, andGeneral Manager to plan, organize, monitor, and evaluate program activities. Use of personal vehicle may be required (paid mileage) for travel within Ravalli County and Missoula County. This is a full-time position that includes vacation, sick leave, Health Reimbursement Account and access to a matching Simple IRA. The work week is Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm.

Victor Site Cook

Make a difference in the lives of local seniors in Victor. Our cooks prepare scratch-made meals to be delivered to our homebound seniors as well as served at our congregate meals to promote socialization and avoid isolation. Kitchen is located at the Victor Senior Center, 242 5th Avenue.

This is a permanent part-time position working approximately 26-30 hours a week. Meal delivery occurs on Wednesdays and congregate meals are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Travel to other RCCOA sites, bank and grocery store is required.

On-the-job training and continuing education opportunities will be provided. Food Safety Manager training will be assigned and must be completed in a timely manner. Restaurant experience is not necessary but highly preferred. Only the passion of cooking healthy and nutritious meals from scratch and the desire to help our seniors maintain their independence is needed.
