Stevensville Site Cook
Make a difference in the lives of local seniors in Stevensville. Our cooks prepare scratch-made meals to be delivered to our homebound seniors as well as served at our congregate meals to promote socialization and avoid isolation.
On-the-job training and continuing education opportunities will be provided. Food Safety Manager training will be assigned and must be completed in a timely manner. Restaurant experience is not necessary but highly preferred. Only the passion of cooking healthy and nutritious meals from scratch and the desire to help our seniors maintain their independence is needed.
This is a permanent part-time position working approximately 26-30 hours a week. Benefits include mileage reimbursement, vacation, a Health Reimbursement Account, and participation in a Simple IRA plan.
Money Management Program
The Council on Aging is hiring a full-time person to work in our Money Management Program. The goal of our Money Management Program is to help our clients remain as independent as possible by managing their money. Each client has their own unique circumstance as to why they require a payee, and we tailor our services to fit their specific needs. The hours for this position are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. Benefits include Vacation& Sick leave, Health Reimbursement Account, Simple IRA.
Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills required; QuickBooks & Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Works well independently and in a team setting.
- Skilled in gathering, interpreting, and documenting data with good record keeping.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in an office setting & at clients’ homes, as needed.
Basic duties include:
- Organize & Maintain Bank and Financial Records
- Prepare & Manage Budgets
- Prepare & Deliver Bank Deposits
- Pay Bills with client’s monthly benefits
- Prepare Checks for Signature
- Balance Checkbooks
